Long Time, No Post

So it's been almost 3 weeks since my last post. Bad me!!! Last week I was obsessed with looking up genealogy, so that's what I was doing at work, instead of blogging. :0) We've had a fairly uneventful past few weeks. Evan is doing awesome at his new day care. He doesn't cry anymore when I drop him off and he goes right to Margi which is fantastic. Nobody likes a crying baby!! He is constantly hungry so I make sure to have a snack for him for the car ride home otherwise he'll fuss at us until dinner is on the table, which is no fun!

Evan likes to have naked time after his bath. He thinks its fun to run around the house naked. Well he decided to get into his red push car. It was quite funny!
So this past weekend was Eric's second Father's Day. Margi helped the kids make Father's Day cards. It was so sweet. I wish Evan had been going to her in May when Mother's Day was. The card was really cute. Eric loved it.

Not sure why that last picture is showing up this way. But you get the gist. We bought Evan some little kid wife beaters and he looks so cute in them and it cracks me up for some reason. I'm not sure why, but it just does.

Yes, that is food on his chin. If you look at that second to last picture you can see a tooth coming in on the bottom. He's cutting three teeth on the bottom right now. He hasn't been too crabby, but maybe that's because he's always eating. He has also started sucking on the wash cloth in the bathtub, and he was trying to "blow" his nose with it the other night, probably after watching Eric blow his nose constantly!

He is such a little sponge and is repeating and picking up new words daily. He can now say poop (which cracks me up), kiss, hug, car, itch, hurt, dirty and a few others. I said "ass" the other day and he repeated me, which I thought was hilarious, but it's probably a bad thing.

Well I'll try to not go so long without posting again. We're going to Moody Gardens next week so I know I'll have tons of pictures to post from that.

Tantrums, a Hair Cut, Evan's New Car and a Bumped Head

Last weekend we bought this mini Nilla wafers that were a perfect size for Evan. He loves them, and realizes that they are in the pantry. On Friday when we got home, he went to the pantry pointed up and did his little "uh uh" which I guess means I want something. I picked him up and told him to point at what he wanted, and lo and behold he pointed to those Nilla wafers. So I let him have some to snack on before dinner. Well I didn't want him to spoil his dinner so I cut him off and man was he mad. He went around the house stomping his feet and crying. It was actually kind of funny. I got a little of it on video, for your viewing pleasure.

Evan got his first professional hair cut today. He was not to keen on the whole process but we survived and he looks pretty cute. :0)
Yes, that is a Wii nunchuck in his hand

He also decided it would be fun to get into the dog's crate. Not really sure about that, but he does it every time we go into the computer room.
Remember that little car that Evan played with while he was at Grandma Cindys? Well we bought him one this weekend. He absolutely loves it and is a pro and getting in and out of it. He loves to turn the wheel and toot the horn. He likes to turn it over and do some tire maintenance.

Lastly, I gave Eric a hard time because there are hardly any photos with me and Evan because I am always the one taking pictures, so he got one of us while I was cooking dinner. You can see the bump between Evan's eyes, which he got hitting the fireplace while trying to get to his Nilla wafers. Check out how curly my freaking hair is. Damn chemo! Eric calls it my "Conan O'Brien" hair. Oh, and on another note, I said "ass" yesterday for some reason, and lo and behold Evan says "ass" right after me. I guess I can't give my mom a hard time for teaching him "oh shit." :0)

Swimming

I don't have much to say but I wanted to post a few pics that I took a few weekend's ago when we took Evan to the Lastovica's house to swim.

My First Attempt at Loading a Video Clip

I hope this works.

Long time, no post

Evan was in Mont Belvieu with Grandma Cindy all last week, so I didn't really have anything to post about. I need to upload some pictures we took Memorial Day weekend, of Evan in the Charlie Lastovica's pool. He wasn't too keen on that experience, partially because the water was kind of cold, and he fell face forward while trying to throw a ball to Eric. Poor baby! I felt like a terrible mother. We went and visited Sarah, Matt and their new baby Grant on May 24th. It was a nice visit and Grant is a cutie, but so tiny compared to Evan. :0) I know Sarah would say he isn't tiny at all. Evan had a good time last week with his Grandma Cindy and Grandpa Lee. Eric and I enjoyed the time alone, but it was weird to be in the house without Evan there. I'm going to post a few pictures that Cindy took while he was there.

Apparently Evan loved this little push car. We plan on getting him one this coming weekend.

On another note, today is Mom's 60th birthday! Happy Birthday Mom/Grandma!!!!! We love you and miss you tons.

Busted Lip

Sunday night we were hanging out after dinner and Evan ran into the kitchen and tripped. He started screaming bloody murder. Apparently when he fell he bit his lip, or something. He was bleeding like crazy and wouldn't quit crying. It was very nerve wrecking. Thank goodness all his teeth were still there and it wasn't that bad of a cut, it just bled a lot. He had a fat lip for the night, and when he'd rub his face on anything, it would start bleeding again. That part of being a mom sucks! Needless to say, he's back to normal now.

Catching Rain

So I finally downloaded the pictures I took from this past weekend. We went to LaGrange on Saturday so that Evan's Great Aunt Jane could see him. He wanted to play outside so bad, but it was raining. We let him hang out with PawPaw while he was grilling chicken, and Evan was trying to catch the rain. It was too funny! He then spent about an hour crawling up and walking down the steps to the backdoor. He would crawl up them, stand up on the top step, and wait for PawPaw to hold his hand while he walked down the steps like a big boy. Yes my child is outside in a shirt and diaper.
In Evan's Easter basket he had these egg shaped boxes that had toys in them. Well they were still at the house in LaGrange, so he was playing with them. It started with me putting it on my head and him laughing, but he really got going when Eric put it on his head. Evan was laughing so hard, it was really cute! I love the sound of his laugh. It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy in side. If I'm having a shitty day, his laugh definitely makes me feel better. On Sunday morning, Evan decided he wanted to put his mandals on. He looked hilarious in his jammy shirt, diaper and mandals, but he insisted that Daddy put them on. So that's how he hung out.
