It all started with the Ninjas that Miss Margi has at her house. I would come to pick up Evan and he and Parker(his best bud) would be playing with the two Ninjas, and then when we'd go home Evan would talk to us about the motorcycle at Miss Margi's. So I thought, well maybe I should buy one for him to have at home. We found our Green Ninja at Target and it was love at first sight.....for Evan. Let me tell you that this toy has two buttons on it, one which plays music and the other that says "Ninja Wheelie Time" and then the motorcycle (if on a flat surface) proceeds to bust out into a wheelie and then speed off. I did not know that there was no volume control, and let me tell you, that thing is freaking loud!! It's ridiculous how loud it is. I think I've had numerous dreams with the Ninja song playing in my head, I've heard it so much. Eric even tried putting a piece of tape over the speaker to make it not so loud. We feared Evan would make himself deaf because he'd walk around the house holding it up next to his ear and playing that god forsaken music. So anyways, this was Evan's favorite toy for a long time, he would sleep with the Ninja and take it every where, and then for the last few months he's left it alone.......until about a week ago. Now it seems that the Ninja is louder than ever. He's sleeping with it, and even taking it to Miss Margi's. Apparently the two that Margi has are on their last legs, because Parker and Evan try to actually ride them. Isn't that hysterical??
Anyways, I digress. So last night when putting Evan to bed, he climbed in and put the Ninja next to him, and then he wanted me to cover the Ninja with the blanket. I turned off the light and heard a little voice say "Goodnight motorcycle" about two or three times. It really was the sweetest little thing. So I guess the Ninja is here to stay and is apparently an important part of the Heselmeyer family.
